Nijntje is a rabbit who was a loyal, playful, and affectionate creature until she stumbled upon some "magic" and became human.
At least that's the latest theory she could come up with.
She really doesn't know how it happened.
But that won't stop her from being by Netherland's side.
But really, Nijntje is seriously incredibly playful and affectionate. When faced with trouble, she tries to ease her way out, avoiding trouble. She's a bit of an airhead sometimes, wait no, make that all of the time.
That could be a cover.
...maybe.
Anyways, Nijntje always tries to lighten the mood by acting stupid or saying random things. Carrots have been her favourite thing in the world besides her owner.
"When the Holland lop breed was perfected, one of the rabbits was given to Netherlands. She was called ‘Miffy’, after a popular character of Dutch children books. She is often teasingly called ‘Eka’ by his owner, which is short for ‘Eerste Kerst Avond’ (First Christmas Eve). Meaning that the animal was bought to serve as food for Christmas Eve. This is just a joke however.
